so i noticed that in the 507 zone the scwr is not labled as off limits on the map like it has been in previous years. did they open it to turkeys? i am almost positive that it still closed to turkey hunting and i dont think it will ever be open any time soon. but i am surprised that they did not have it labled as off limits on the map so there could be a .1 percent chance that is is. did anybody hear about it?

Shoot the MN DNR an email or make a call. You'll know for sure then.

The map is not responsible for showing which lands are closed to turkey hunting. I'm not sure if they used to black it out in the past because I've never considered hunting there, but in the river bottom areas of the MN river that are managed by the USFWS they never used to black it out. They leave it to the hunter to know which areas are open to hunting and which aren't.

Many areas of the MN River valley will be opening to turkeys this coming year so there is a chance that Sherburne may be loosening, but the DNR is not the people to ask. You need to check with the USFWS.
