just wondering how many use braided line for ice fishing and or summer fishing. Also what type do you use and why? Winter, I like to use fireline microice. Its a small braid and seems to be pretty durable. For the summer time I like powerpro. ITs the best in my opinion. Wont cut your guides no matter the type, very sensitive. I guess i cant notice the loss of sensitivity using fireline compared to powerpro or knot strength. Ive snagged into logs etc. and bent my hook straight out before breaking the knot.
I might have missed a guess, but here are the ones that I noted:
JerkinLips – March 27th, then April 7th
Brianf. – March 28th
Bobberwatcher – April….
MikeG3Boat – April 10th
SkunkedAgain – early April, then April 21st
Definitely a tough year for guesses, as it seemed to be a no-brainer early ice out. Then it got cold and snowed again.
So, that was you in the camo lund? I'm bummed, I have to head back to the cities tomorrow for a few days, then back up for at least a few weeks. Got the dock in and fired up to get out chasing some crappies till opener!
