I was out by pine this weekend. Lots of Sauger but few walleyes. Nice little plump saugers though and most of the ones I got were 12" or a little better so that isn't bad for those little guys. I did get one wally that was 2.5 lbs. Yesterday I caught quite a few today was a little slower but still not bad. It was a great first trip of the year for me I ended up bring back a mixed limit for myself. Looking forward to my supper tomorrow night. Good luck at the as you put it greatest lake in the world I agree it really is.
------------------
Grip it and Rip it
IFFWalleyes
I Fish For Walleyes
[email protected]

I fished off Morris Point Resort this afternoon and limited on walleyes with two saugers. Did not get fishing until 2 PM but was filled with walleyes at 3:15 in about 22 feet of water. Color of the day was gold. Threw back a lot of fish and saw many on the graph. Largest walleye went 18 inches

gold was the color, but narrow gold with half minnow did best.a 28 inch walley at 9am agreed with that.moved to 24' water and sauger hit the chubs and shiners with gold or narrrow glow.

A friend and I fished on Saturday (7th) out of Ballard's resort....out past pine island and did very well. A limit of walleyes and a few saugers. The lure color was gold, tipped with a shinner. The fish size was good but no monsters. We enjoyed a good time as always........

I fished the weekend out of Zipple bay for the first time. We caught around 50 walleyes in two days. Biggest was 16 inches. Lots of action but no monsters. I also tried some tip up fishing for the migty northerns but did not get a tip up. I usually fish Mille lacs lake and get larger fish closer to home. Hot times were 3:00-5:00pm.

Has anyone fished out of Arnesons yet. And how thick is the ice up there. I'm Also wondering if the perch are biting at all.
------------------
Walleye King

Fishing has slowed up a bit but still catching some fish. Had a customer catch and release a 29" walleye today and he and his wife were limited on walleye and saugers by noon. We are fishing just off of Morris Point in 18-22 ft of water. Check out my reports. Terri

------------------
Terri Fischbach of Walleye Retreat

Central America. Focus. We almost went for a local overnight crappie run but the daughter’s septic froze so I got to work the brown trout pond through a 4 inch hole. It was opener today afterall. 😉

Ok, how did we get from crappies and freezing temps to pond slime eaters in south America? Focus! 🙄

The locals there shoot ducks but don't hunt them. If they see a bunch on a pond they'll sneak up and water swat them but it's strictly for food not sport. My buddy runs an outfitter so him and I will hunt a few days and scout then I'll help him with a group whose coming mid week. He's from there. Hoping he can come to Canada next year with me. He's never seen or shot a goose

Awesome kind of trip! I figured there would be a local benefit if you couldn’t bring them back (not saying you can’t). Having a connection down there is pretty cool! We donated a good share of meat to the village in Kotzebue, AK instead of shipping it all back. Pretty pricey and they really appreciated it. Win/win.

I don't bring them back, eat a lot then clean them for the village. Some like them plucked and some like the breasts cut out. It's really remote where I go and the locals live off the land. I know they want me to go get some doves for them too. My buddy is a local so we'll probably go get a deer as well for some venison for some of the elders in the community

Ya cooked em wrong! lol! Not even sure if you can bring ‘em back from Central America? You can’t from Argentina, last I heard.
