flasher troubles

I have a Zercom Colorpoint flasher which works great locating fish. In my permant house last year, which is 8x16 my buddy was using his vexilar on one end of the house and I on the other. We were fishing about 30 ft and were about at least 12 ft apart. I was getting tons of interference on my sonar from his vex. Just wondering if this is normal I thought we were far enough apart to use both. Any comments would be heplful.<P>Thanks good luck fishing

Sorry Twee....I'm not real sure about your unit....was your buddy able to get rid of your interference on his Vex? Do you have an interference button? <BR>I have an Fl-18 and love it. My buddy just bought the new Fl-18...with the battery inside the unit. Wow....it's a nice piece of equipment....it also leaves a nice bill behind. Good Luck with your problem.

My old Clearwater Classic would pick up interference from over 30' away. I would say if you can't fix it by using the IR on the vex you're probably out of luck.

I had the same problem and finally had to give up on my Zercom and buy a Vex. The Zercoms get interference when fishing in the same house as a Vex. The Zercom never bothered the guys with the Vex though?
