Another ethernet ?

No one has probably dealt directly with this but here goes anyway...

So I upgraded my electronics from a LCX 112 to a HDS 10 and then added an 8 as well. Ethernetting the HDS is not a problem as I went through all that with rigging up my fathers boat with a 10, 8 and 7. The father in-law was presented with a nice father's day present of an HDS 10 as well to replace his LCX 111. Everyone has the LSS1 (structure scan) module/box.

From the excellent advice from Perchjerker and others here it appears that my 112 would share the sonar from the HDS 10 as I hooked both up through the LSS1 and even though I haven't had it on the water rigged like that, it appears that it is sharing as the temp. appears and then when you "waive" your foot under the transducer, you produce different "lines"on the sonar that show up on both the 10 and the 112. So, I'm assuming that is working.

Now, the father in-law is going to take my 112 if that's the case but also has a lcx 27 that has the ethernet port on the back and wired it all up but says that the sonar doesn't work. Anyone have any clue as to if this is possible to work and/or if there is some setting on the 27 that needs to be turned on. Only thing that I can think of is that the 10 may be turned on to 83khz instead of 200 and the 27 may not be compatible with the 83??? Any thoughts?

Thanks, WW

Excellent point! I have my fingers crossed that it isn't the most current.

I think it could be the transducer frequency. Good luck, I want to get on your inlaws birthday/christmas list! wink
