Sorry boys,

See you on the water next year.

"It’s news only a catfish could love.

Civic leaders met today and cancelled the popular and large Cats Incredible fishing tournament in East Grand Forks because the Red River will be too high to safely get on and off the water.

Barry Wilfahrt, president of The Chamber of East Grand Forks and Grand Forks, made the announcement that the event that brings thousands, including 300 catfish hunters, to East Grand Forks each summer won’t go on as scheduled July 29-31."

What a bummer... I was starting to anticipate this, particularly with the rain that hit Fargo last night. Major, major bummer but definitely the right call.

Now I hope all of us that made it in this year are guaranteed entry next year.

Well that sure sucks! I wondered if this might happen, but hoped it wouldn't. Tough call for the tourney officials, but probably a good call. Hopefully Hanson's right and those who got in this year are in next year.
