weather&ice conditons

I know this topic should not be asked.I was wondering how the weather has been latley up on the big pond?I hope it has been near the teens to make good ice.Our group of 7 is looking to come up to the big pond the week of Dec 15 through the 20th with one of the resorts we stated last year.Please let me know how the ice conditons has been.And is there any good ice yet to get the bomadears out yet? Any info would be very helpful.

Ice is perfectly smooth. The best in years. As of Friday it was 5" in most areas. 4 wheelers and snow cats are going out. A few resorts have some of their houses out. No travel with bombers or large vehicles yet.
