Zipple Bay - Mid-December

I just booked a trip for December 11-14th out of Zipple Bay Resort. I have only fished LOW once before and I'm realy excited. The resort said that the houses will be just out front in Zipple Bay and from what I have read on the forum this should be good for the Pike but I am wondering if we will get into the eye's and sauger here as well. Any feed back on the resort or potential for eye and sauger action would be appreciated. This may be a dumb question but any positive feed back will get me even more hyped than I am right now.<P>Thanks!<P>BIG BROWN

The walleye fishing should be anywhere's from good to excellent there and then. Of couse you might hit it on a slow day, but most December days the fishing is reliable.<P>fiskyknut

Hi Big Brown<P>Out on the lake in front of Zipple Bay is<BR>some of the eariest ice and some of the best<BR>early ice Walleye fishing you will find<BR>anywhere.<P>So you get a double dip. If you want to <BR>fish some Pike you can fish in the actual<BR>Zipple Bay the move out to the lake to <BR>clean up on the very decent sized Eyes that<BR>hang in the area during December.<P>Nick ( from the Zipple Bay Resort) keeps<BR>things going and as safe as possible on the<BR>early ice.
