Augger Help

Recommended Posts

In Feb 2010 I got a New Strike Master Solo 10 1/4"blade. It starts up on first or second pull every time the problem im having is when i goto drill holes when I hold the trigger the blade will spin and start to drill then the motor will just slow way down and the blade will stop spinning i take the gas off and it will idle fine. Goingto take it to strike master on Monday but just wondering if anyone may know why its doing this..

Could also be bad gas. Always be sure to put new gas in at the beginning of every ice fishing season. Good luck

This probably not your problem, but just some food for thought. When drilling holes don't try to force the auger down the hole, let it cut by itself. Forcing it can jam up the blades and really slow things down. Again probably not what you're doing, but when I first started I thought I had to throw all my weight behind the thing to get it to drill, found out the hard way. Hope you get your problem resolved, SM will do what they have to to make sure it runs. Great service there, Cy knows his augers....

Its a lake rite out side of Saint Cloud on HWY10 not many ppl fish it and when i told the guy @ stop light bait where i was going he said "I didnt think many ppl fished that lake in the winter" I guess it pays to stay away from the crowds and explore a little bit.... I want to try for cats this weekend never did it b4 but I think it would be a blast through the Ice.
