Zebco Reels

Do any of you use a Zebco reel loaded with high test braided line to hang your decoys? I am wondering if one of those cheap reels will work with heavy line. Thanks.

thats what I do. their not zebco's, but they are the cheap push button type. I've got 80# spooled on them and they work fine.

ugggh merk!! lol Ya just had to put a pflueger one up there didnt you thats my brand man too bad they dont work for fly fishing! O well maybe they will work better for spearing! Let me know if they work merk!

Find yourself some old penn or levelwind reels and you will never have any issures after that..

Check flea markets.E stores,thrift stores,goodwill has even been known to have one or two laying on the shelf.

i use older flyrod reels. also use older bait casters.

Got a couple of old zebco 33's hangin in my house and the work great.

I use them simple cheap reels with a thumb screw that you can but about anywhere. I attach them to the wall with screws.
