You sure it wasn't a mottled sculpin? I've caught them in mille lacs and they look a lot like a round goby.

any pics?

the dnr would like to hear about them if they were gobies.

and it's invasive rather than evasive. I'm sure there are a lot of evasive fish in that lake grin

yeah, you may be right. After reviewing pics, they do look a lot alike. Im gonna go find one I threw on the ice and make sure.

How big do they get, cause one was about 5 inches long and one smaller?

I think they can run about 6 inches max, so that one of yours is getting close to being a wall hanger.

There are zebra mussels in Pike(Duluth) so the possibility is there for a goby to get in there.
