Prior perch

Recommended Posts

I've just started fishing Prior alot more and trying to learn the lake. I was thinking of going out Sunday trying to find some perch. Does anyone have any pointers? I know up on Mille Lacs the perch have moved out to the flats, does this mean its time to move deeper on other lakes? I was thinking of starting in the mid 20's fow. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

i would try and find a shallower weed bed if you can. 12-14 FOW has been the best depths for me. where were you thinking of fishing?

I was going to drive out of Sportsmans, we caught some nice perch by Sand Point, but I didn't really want to deal with all the little sunfish.

I agree with you that the little sunfish are annoying, from the sportsmans access go around the point to the right and there is a weed bed in the middle of that smaller bay. when i was out there during my winter break we found quite a few nice perch in there using a slug bug by northland tackle. i hope this helps, if you need any more information feel free to PM me.
