Rogers is on the Center Bar

We are on the Center Bar and we will plant are flag on it. The fishing is fantastic and like I stated earlier this year we probally wouldn't be there until mid January. Fishing is looking up and I won't answer the phone until dark we have chores to do.

Rogers has fatheads, shinners and sucker minnows so steal a truck if you have to the bite is on.

Just got back from Rogers and the center bar. Had a blast! Thanks to Chris w/ Portavilla for the Rent n' Go, but even a bigger thanks for recommending a snowmobile. Without those sleds we wouldn't have made it out there this past weekend.

Fishing was slow in the big house but fishing out of a porty on the Center Bar was a good time and nice fish were caught. 2 hogs lost near the hole due to line snapping.

Rogers was absolutely great to us and I sincerely can't wait to go back again.

We will have some houses there and some everywhere we are spread out over 2-3 miles, 3 miles out and after being in I am feeling a little clostrophbic.

Wheelhouses will need a spot plowed. Right now you have to get way off the road as Jerry is building Rogers runway to the Center Bar after all we have is old airport and highway plows.

Portavilla guys - I am sure you remember me from a few weekends back, I was the unwise one who left a hole cover off while making a "quick move" and lost a couple things. I am still SHOCKED at the guys in your 6 man house and their honesty. Anyway I am heading up Thursday morning early for 24 hours on Red before I meet a crew on LOW on Friday.

Any chance at all we could arrange you guys plowing me out a spot at the bar? I know you are busy as heck right now, just thought I would ask... Of course we would compensate you however you request.

Thanks!

I am coming up saturday morning and was wondering the same thing. Last year you guys plowed me driveways a couple times. Are you too busy for that right now with getting houses moved?

By the weekend and by then we should be on cruse control shouldn't be a problem. We will be making roads wider with plows anyways. A tweleve pak would be great the Walleyes don't care what kind they just talk more when there drunk.

I know it is a big lake and Center Bar is pretty big but I lost a camo backpack coming in from there over New Years if anyone finds it. I know it fell out somewhere from the Center Bar to about a mile south where I turned my GPS on to find shore in the whiteout. If someone finds the needle in the haystack I would appreciate a heads up.

We will be plowing in spots for guys my heads up list is growing you can email us at [email protected]

We will take guys on a first come basis and with some time we will get everyone in and placed so Jerry can make the road wider. Remember it's not about one fisherman it's about everyone else as well, I have set Dallas just on spot plowing.

Thanks for the news on the road to Center. A group of 4 of us are coming up Friday to stay at Duffy's. Do you think the snow coming will cause any issues with keeping the road open? Thanks-can't wait to get up there again.

There is always issues with keeping the road open but it is not a goat path anymore we will be in good shape by the weekend.

The Center bar slowed a bit today but it did across the board the night bite might pick up as we have a change of weather coming in. Very little of the Bar has been touched, the groups were in a tight group based off plowed roads. We will open it up in sections, I think we will have a good bite there for awhile. There are lots of good spots that have not seen any traffic and should have some good fishing for quite awhile. We are still in our first move areas for most years do to getting out late and the bite is going good. Like I tell most guys typically we get out fast and the first five weeks is the best, but I also tell them that is not always the case. This is one of those years.
