ONE BIG POLACK

Recommended Posts

nothing ticks me off more! PICK IT UP PEOPLE! I was driving around today scoping out where to go tomorrow... Notice a lot of [PoorWordUsage] on the ice left by some poor sportsmen! Beer cans, whiskey bottles, cig packs, etc... I went out and picked up after some looser... Keep in mind - litterbug... the lake melts - we already have enough junk in the waters already

What a popular topic! Why is common sense missed by so many people? We were out today on Cedar lake, packed up and my 8 year old was out making sure we had everything that we brought out. (w/o being asked to)...If an 8 yr old can do it, what the H3ll is the matter with the rest of these idiots?

I'm sure most of us leave with more than we come with. The rest of you need to think about what your doing to our natural resources!

Guessing they are not on this site. I am tired of reading about this topic. This topic gets posted about every other day. I say just toss the garbage you see on the ice in the back of your truck and get on with your day. It won't stop, idiots everywhere. It is unfortunate but I think this topic is pointless to post. I would rather read about tips, tricks or funny stories about weekends on the ice.

The unedumacated ratards who littter prolee aint on the interlink I rekon.

Garbage cans at the accesses would be a great start if people dont want to be driving with open containers.

Its like the ice fishing season goes first ice, drivable ice, leave your garbage everywhere, late ice, ice out. But sometimes people jump the gun on the 2nd and 3rd steps.

So is it considered a bad thing when my son and I spit sunflower seeds all over the ice while we are not catching fish and then leave them frozen to the ice? We tried spitting them into the hole but they just floated around and filled up the hole. If the fish would bite we probably would have less time to eat the seeds and then it wouldn't be an issue.

I agree...not just open containers but garbage in general...anyone w/DNR connections here? For as much meddling as the DNR does in other areas, this seems like a no brainer- especially in the Metro lakes..

I took my 5 year old son out on the ice to show him what all these people were doing - ice fishing. We parked and before we even got on the ice he asked why ther was garbage all over the ground. I said some people don't act like good sportsman. We walked out and talked to a few guy's who showed him their set-ups and a few fish. But all over the surrounding area where fisherman were the prior day were plastic pop bottles, paper and garbage. He asked why people would do that and I said be cause some people just don't care. We picked up a few things and lef the ice. I didn't tell him but I was really [PoorWordUsage] off. It gives us sprtsman a bad name if we pollute the very lakes we fish. I would hope the DNR/Sheriff/CO would ticket people like that.

I was out on Crystal lake today and double checked my area after packing up and told my son to check the area around us for garbage as well that may have been left by others. We picked up some coffee cups and threw them in the vehicle. The sad thing was that there are garbage cans at the landing... I would love to catch these fools and shove their noses in the garbage...
