Anyone fish Ann Lake south of Howard Lake?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone has been out on Ann Lake lately. I've tried it a few times this year with no luck. I've drilled many holes to only find perch...Anyone have better luck then me?

I have heard it used to be good a few years back, but has really declined in the last few years, but have never fished it myself.

a friend fished there last week with his brother - they each got a small crappie and some tiny perch --

I grew up not far from the lake. It hasn't been the same since the flooding killed off a ton of fish. I used to love fishing there, not so much anymore. Unless you like perch

i was there yesterday, we caught a handful of tiny (and i mean tiny) 3 inch crappies, a handful of very small sunnies and a bunch of little perch -- used to be better out there

Boy this is sad to hear... I grew up by Ann and I remember some days you could pull crappies through the holes like Chilly Willy! I think the flooding really killed off the lake. Hopefully that lake comes back!
