Moon Phases impact LOW?

Got to looking at the calendar and my upcoming trip is right after a full moon. Years past we would have great success on Red lake at night during these times. Question for the veteran LOW fishermen, being there is no night bite to speak of, are the fish affected by the moon? And how so/when is the better bite? Thanks

I dont know about the impact on LOW but I follow the fish and game forecast witch is affected by the moon phases for my area down in the metro and it is usually pretty close. Weather and barometric pressure play a big roll in the bite too though as tonight was a good example, the fish and game forecast for the past 2 days has had a pretty good bite around 5pm and I had the walleyes biting good last night around 5pm but tonight I couldn't get a bite at all with the pressure dropping earlier today going steady shortly before the 5pm bite and we had a little bit of snow falling tonight at the same time. I really like to pay attention to what factors affects the bite. Last year well crappie fishing at night down in the metro I could just about tell what time it was by how well the crappies were biting after looking at the fish and game forecast, weather pending. You have to find one that is for your location though.

Last New Years we caught 2-3 nice 'Eyes at night including a 25" right before midnight in about 28 fow. We chalked it up to the full moon.

It's a big pond and the moon must have some gravitational effect!!

Or something, couple 3 day within a new or full moon and a slowly falling barometer and I really wanna go. Stable high trumps moon phase in my book of memories.

The nite bite? It's there in spots but most folks don't set there being this pond is known for it's banker hour bite. Sit there all day without a bite till when. Others will sit out there somewhere all day catching smallish fish and call it banner.

Hard to fish sun up till sun down no matter how short the day. Resorts want their folks to get em during reasonable hours.

Throw weather potential on there and the fact it's a big pond then well, it may take 4 hours to go a mile and a half during daylight hours and one would'nt wanna be out there after dark with nobody around.

2-3 days af stable highish barometer weather that then slowly falls will for sure trip their triggers. Hard to plan that trip weatherwise.

Get the moon phase and barometer to click and not kick, get to where your size/choice of fishes are and it could be game on.

Then again it is fishing. Why is it red glow is'nt my favorire color?

Just wanted to correct what I was saying about last nights fishing. Usually a dropping or steady pressure is good but last night after looking at the barometric pressure for a longer period I could see it was starting to rise right around 5pm. I am sure that it was the beginning of the rise that had them shut down.
