Snow, snow, and more snow

The recent snow has led to flooding and large deep slush pockets on most, if not all area lakes. Cold night temperatures have not seemed to make a difference as of yet. Won't get to try it again until Sunday, but will probably still be flooded.

How much snow have you guys gotten so far?

The last snowfall was 12-16" followed by a few more inches. Total on the ground I'd say 24". Kinda hard to tell with the drifting. Snowmobiling on lakes yesterday felt more like jet skiing with all the slush.

Popped a few holes on my favorite ice spot on Potatoe and got me a bonified artesian well! Water coming up through the hole adding to the already existing slush. I walk with a small sled and sit on a bucket. If you are gonna do that bring the snowshoes until the slush gets a change to freeze. It's tough walking unless you can find a an icy snomobile trail that goes where you want to go. Snow depths on the level are about 24" with drifts that go as high as 3ft in protected pockets.

Fish Report: Caught some sunnies and a small northern. Not the greatest but didn't get skunked either!
