Does anyone out there ever get those eye's that are 15-17" on the miss? it seems like I can never find any of those little bit nicer fish! any help here? maybe wrong spots or presentation?

I hear ya eyeguy, I have no problem finding the eye's, just not those little bit nicer ones!!

But yes I will keep on searchin! it's a never ending search on the miss!

Whitetail, If you're looking for areas N of Sartell dam I can help you. Had pretty good luck late summer/fall during soft water season (eaters not trophies). Not sure how it would be during hard water, something about currents + "safe" ice doesn't add up.

North of Blanchard dam has a few areas as well.

Very nice walleyes being caught under the dam in Sartell (jig and minnow head) drop your transducer down the hole and keep moving until you see fish.

I've caught alot of walleyes down there in fall, dont prefer to icefish it because it's such a small spot. And like others have said, please release those 18+ inch walleyes. they are what keep the fishery going!
