Hard-water lake option opinions near New Brighton?

Recommended Posts

Any of these lakes worth a hard-water shot: Moore Lake, Pike Lake, Long Lake, Silver Lake? Any tips, advise, opinions, options, etc. appreciated! What to look for, look out for, use, where to go, etc.

Long Lake has pike, walley, and panfish. I see people fish moore but i'd pass. Round lk near anoka had sunfish a couple years ago, I don't know now. Turtle, Johanna, Owasso, Gervais, >> that;s a couple.

If you don't want to drive very far, I would go to Crooked Lake in Coon Rapids. Lots of sunnies, plenty of crappies, some walleyes, pike. Sunnies are everywhere, the crappies are in the deep hole. I have caught those two in the winter time.
