Have never been to pelican and keep meaning to make it down there. Are there any community holes close enough to walk to from the access? Guessing its going to be a few weeks before I will be driving out there.

pushed a road out almost a mile to get my house and move it closer to the access. lots of drifts and water in spots. need good clearance and tires to move around.

Depends on where out there you are planning on going. North access or West. And how far out do you plan on going.

I didn't know there is an access on the North side. I was planning on going to the west access by zorbaz

Oh the zorbaz access i thaught was north (sorry) the west access to me is the one over by the campground. But oh well. I drove out yesterday from the zorbaz access. There is a road plowed for a ways but if you wanted to fish anywhere else other than siminsons point you might have troubles.

thanks for the report ray. when you were out on the lake yesterday did there appear to be any water or slush on the ice? Thanks, Dan N.

Was on pelican on sat. Set up in about 18 feet of water. Caught two northerns on tipups and we caught perch for most of the afternoon. We were marking lots of fish on the flasher. I lost one big fish (i swear it was a walleye) right before i could see it coming up the hole. Once the sun went down we stopped marking fish. The fish that we were marking did not seem active at all. Hopefully this weather stabilizes and things pick up.
