Anyone have a chance to fish any in the bwca yet? Wondering if there are any fishing/ice reports coming out of there. I can't seem to find much info anywhere

yea, i guess it totally slipped my mind that lake trout are the only species in any of the lakes in the BWCA. thanks for the helpful response!

I'm more interested in an ice report than anything. heading up that way on wednesday and was just hoping for some info on how that warm front that just came through may have effected things. If everything is ankle deep slush, my plans might have to change.

I figured there had to be at least a few folks on here who have made day trips up that way and might have a report.

I'm looking for walleye and pike most likely on disappointment lake. we are also winter camping.

Crab, seems to be fairly helpful, IMO. Seeing that you are asking about Disappointment lake in a post titled Gunflint Trail, I think you might not know the area all that well. Not trying to start a p!ssing match and sorry if I came off as a d!nk but you really didn't give much info on what you are fishing for. Good luck and have fun.

What are the general lake conditions up the Gunflint? I don't know if you got all the rain that we did down the shore last week.

Fished Duncan on sunday. Came across Moss. Patches of slush up to 8''. Duncan about the same. Total of four areas I noticed with slush. Hope this helps. Good luck.
