bait shops ?

We are heading up in a little over a week, and wondering where the bait shops are? A few years ago we went there and stopped at a small place IN Baudette (I think) . Wondering if that place is still there and the name of it? We go on at Long Point or Zippel and would rather stay away from the wheeler point area zoo. Thanks

The two Bait Shops on Wheelers are Log Cabin and Borader Bait. Also all of the resorts sell bait..

In town right next door to the 'Ranch House' restaraunt is a bait/tackle shop named 'outdoors again', they have expanded since you were up 2 years ago.

Thanks Fisky, that's probably it. I know resorts have bait also, but I think a baitshop is more generous than a resort that only has 200 in the tank....Resort is the back-up, if we run out

Howards Conoco in Baudette is very generous with the Fatheads, his 1 scoop may cost a tad more than others 1 scoop price but you get as many if not more in his 1 scoop bag as most other places will give you in 2 scoops.

Just got back from LOW last night. We have the fatheads furnished by the resort we use, however had to scout around to find the shiners. Log Cabin bait did not have any and I was told they probably won't, we did find shiners at Border Bait and the majority of the saugers and eyes were caught on a dead stick and shiner. I did not check any of the spots in Baudette that Fisky mentioned.
