Wondering what kind of structure or depth when trying to find some perch? On structure off, next to deep water? Seems like all i can find are few here and there. Pretty big lake to just start drillin. thanks to any tips!!!

They can be just about anywhere from shallow rocks,transitions,deep rock and gravel,mud flats and even in no mans land.They are roamers and are always following the bait.If you dont want to drill a lot of holes it would be best to go out of a resort that might be able to point you in the right direction.And that doesnt mean you still wont have to drill a lot of holes.Drilling holes can also be good as I swear the sound of an auger draws them in for a while if they are around.

Drilling holes is not that bad I used a tank and a half last weekend. I'll just have too give it another go around this weekend.

The south end has some pretty good access to perch and Hunter Winfields or Lybacks Im sure would point you in the right direction.

caught some nice jumbos out of appledorns... 3.2 miles out, 27-33ft, flyin rattler tipped with crappie minnow head

i did very well in gravel and rocks about 19 FOW on mon-wed of this week. Jigging spoons, set lines, Euro larvae and fatheads were all producing. They came in waves with 15 minutes of down time between waves.
