I spent a productive afternoon panfishing with area fishing guide Cliff Wagenbach today. It was the perfect day with great weather (hardly used our shelters), good fishing, and great conversation. Anyone that has guided for 20 years or more should have a few stories. LOL

We ended up with a nice catch of fish, mostly bluegills, but had to work for them. Best baits were "Gill Getters" and "Hexi Flys" tipped with waxies and dead-sticked. Cliff was using a couple of Jason Mitchell's "Meat Sticks" and that sensitive rod tip worked to perfection. I'll have to get a few of those.

We even got checked by the warden and all was okay. Here are a couple pics. A story to come later.full-130-4624-dscf3554.jpg

Thanks for the pictures Greg. Cliff is as good a guide as there is. I have fished with him 3 times and each time was a blast. Always found fish. Fun guy as well.

Every time I have fished with Cliff he has put me on fish and some dang nice ones too.

Cliff we will have to hit some of them late ice Crappies again this winter. My snowmobile should be ready to go by this weekend if we need it.

Fished today in Cliff's fish house and caught 5 walleyes and kept 2 and three other bites that we missed. One fish was in the slot that went 20" and that one bit a 6:30 pm. We will be back out there again on New Years Day!

I never catch any fish or go near the auger or anything that might have some dirt. LOL

Actually, yes, I did just get them and I like the fit. Had the "blue suit" for years but now, working with Otter, I am wearing the Strikemaster outfit. I like it. However, let's compare photos at the end of March or so. LOL Won't be good. Happy New Year!!
