I see Mills has black Ameristep Alaskan Ice Shelters, 60" X 60" on sale for $110. Anyone used one of these for spearing?

I use the cabellas version, works great you just need to find soemthing for the floor. i use those weight lifting pads that have interlocking sides....dont stick to the ice and they're light weight!

I've been using cabelas 6x8 without a floor. I don't understand making such a portable house less portable. I put the buddy heater up on a bucket or another chair to keep it off the ice and I don't have a problem. There's no need to heat the house to 75 deg. just warm enough to take my coat off and keep the hole open.
