Big Questions

Recommended Posts

Im looking for some suggestions for high quality taxidermists for waterfowl. Anywhere in the state or just out of the state would work. Its going to be 4 geese and they are once i a lifetime birds so i want them done to perfection. I thought with the abundanc of waterfowl hunters out there that you guys might have some good suggestions. Thanks in advance!

P.S. If you have some pics that would help quite a bit!

kind of ironic you have 4 - once in a lifetime birds.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Unfortunately I am not a great hunter, so I have no taxidermy need nor knowledge. I'll check with my father in law. He has about 60 birds mounted, plus some bear and mountain lions.

Best birds I have ever seen...Jerry Frolich (sp?) in St Cloud. Look up Flyway Taxidermy...his showroom is unbelievable. Hands down the best waterfowl taxidermist I've ever seen. The awards he's received speak for themselves.

I would also check Brad at Mid America Taxidermy in Savage MN. He is an avid duck hunter and knows what birds really look like in the wild. He has done our woodducks and a ton of different fish. He has a huge show room to look at and critique his work.

North Star Taxidermy, Out of Nicollet MN. I have been going there for years. Me and brother have over 12 ducks mounted from him and 2 geese. My very first mount from Jeff 12 years ago still looks new. I would never go anywhere always. Check out his website.
