T-Jack to possibly start....thoughts???

So with Favre having a bum elbow, the chances of jackson getting a start or two in the next few weeks are pretty high! Especially for the Green Bay, you can bet that if his elbow is hurting he won't want to play that game and possibly make a fool of himself!

Anyways........thoughts on t-jack with this offense! I know there are alot of haters on the forum but, t-jack has never had the opportunity to play with these kind of weapons we have now! A healthy fumble free Peterson, hall of fame receiver moss, up and coming star percy havin, posssibly sydney rice shortly and a confident shiancoe! I honestly believe that he could be a legit qb for the vikes with the stars like that around him! He would have no problems getting the ball to moss on go routes with the crazy strong arm he has and the way our o-line has been playing his scrambling ability could be a huge upside!!

It'll never happen...Favre has been hurt alot worse than this and played.

He's at 288 straight games played...12 more gives him 300 on the nose.

I'm not saying he won't get hurt but I really doubt the elbow will keep him from playing.

You don't need a throwing arm to hand off to Peterson all day. If you need someone to throw to Moss, Harvin has the arm. Accuracy is questionable though.

I'd have to say the putrid start of the Vikes this season may have something to do with the criticism of Jackson. Nearly everyone has shown a hatred towards Jackson being our guy for next year. Now that Favre has a bum wing, who's to say that low-and-behold Jackson comes out and wins 12 straight for the Vikes? Fat chance I know. But the "what if" is there and what will people say about T-Jack at the end of the season if this happens?

I don't think T Jack will start. Favres record is consecutive STARTS. He doesn't want to ruin that. I say IF, and thats a big IF favre decides he is too hurt to play, then he will go in for a series and hand off to AP 3 times, then TJack comes in to finish the game.

I wouldn't mind if we became a bit more athletic at the QB spot, would've been great for 1 play vs the saints last year that final pick off, Tjack could've ran that ball into better field goal range, is an 80% Favre better than a 100% tjack ? That's the big ?

No doubt and put him in the shotgun please, why put him under center on a definite for sure down when we are 100% going to pass, why not let him get a better look at where the rush is strongest so the not so fleet of foot guy can roll one way or the other ? Remember maybe 3 years ago on I think MNF when Tom Brady went like 24-28 and about 350 yards no picks and they just lit us up like the 4th of July? He was in the shotgun most of those throws, we had a good pass rush that year and it allowed him to kill us, we blitz he hit his hot read, we played back and he just let the routes open up and his accuracy killed us. I think it was in the dome and they chewed us up and passed through us like swiss cheese.

I'd love to see T-Jack get the starting job the rest of the season. I've always like him, and think he has been maturing as a qb over these last few years. IMO we would be 5-0 if Jackson would've started the first 5 games. FAvre has been terrible this year, and if he's gonna be playing with multiple injuries now he'll just get worse. I think that he deserves a chance to start, he looked great during his playing time last year and Favre just doesnt have it this yr. Cant keep putting favre in there to lose us games.

Yeah, I say keep Favre in until all else fails BADLY. I just can not imagine TJ getting in there and playing QB right now. Even with Moss and the rest of the WR's, I would be scared to see him playing. I could be wrong, but I am just not confident in him playing.

According to the video on the Tube, Favre is nursing another injury after yesterday's practice. He took a shot to the fruit basket after he failed to catch the ball that someone threw to him.

Favre has been saying he is hurt for 20 years and everyone keeps giving him the attention he desires. The Silver Fox will not sit out a game unless something is broke and maybe not then! T-Jack....

Actually said today after practice "physically I feel great". Favre plays everyone like a fiddle.

I want to see T-Jack given an actual opportunity, with some playmakers at receiver like he has now (and did not have in the past). Give him an actual opportunity with decent play calling (something he did not have in the past).

I want to see what he can do, and how good or bad he really is. Because at this point, we have no idea. He hasn't been given a half way decent opportunity.

I think the same people who want to throw T-Jack under the bus are the same people who wanted to throw Delmon Young under the bus last year...

We looked like c-r-a-p on monday but came with in an over throw of winning that game. We will gel eventually, and hopefully if it comes to Tjack that he can atleast hit as many passes as Farve did on Monday

If T-Jack would have been the starting QB last year the Vikes wouldn't have been anywhere neer the NFC championship game. They would have been very lucky to make the playoffs.
