Maine Moose hunt scouting trip

I went up state scouting for a place to hunt and after 12 hours of driving I hit the hot spot. Tuesday morning I found 6 Moose in the first hour of day light. After looking around and talking with a couple of guys from there I have found the hot spot! Now the long wait untill November first for my week of hunting. Maine Moose hunt are three one week seasons and I drew the third one. Good news about the third season is the leaves will be down and maybe a little snow. I'll add pictures to this post later.. Carl

It is a very good Bull. I got a good look at him but didn't get a full picture of him. He will dress out at between 900# and 1000#. The other two will go in the 700# range. The biggest Maine Moose dress out a little over 1100#. My last one was 820#. Carl

Sure miss seeing moose around here, remeber the good ol' days in the late 70's an 80's. never seemed to have a problem seeing moose. Good luck. Boar

Not to many left in this neck of the woods is there! And then when there is it gets hit by vehicles and killed like last weekend.
