Kent Christianson/Harv Lueck 14.28
It was fun and exciting as always. The gentlemen who won, had the big basket of the tournament on day 2. After jigging in the Baudette area with little success and only 8lbs on day one, the changed location and tactics for day 2. They made the run to Birchdale and pulled lead-core with Rapalas to catch a basket of fish over 19lbs! Congrats to them for taking a risk and hitting it huge on the troll bite when everyone seemed to think there was no troll bite to be had. (Including my partner and I). It's always fun when there's a full 100 teams competing so let's do it again next year. Rumor has it, there's a possibility that next years' tournament might be open to the entire U.S. portion of L.O.W. and the Rainy. That's right, Stony Point, Oak and Little Oak, Garden, 5,12,16, Knight, Bridges, South Buffalo, Twin Islands, the possibilites and endless. The decision will be made very soon so I will try to update when I know for sure. Thanks to Kevin Olmstead and the entire crew at "THE WHAM" and all of the volunteers.

I thought it was because he is such an all-star when he fishes. I have fished with Mr. Brickett numerous times! Sometimes I think he can catch walleyes in his bathtub although I have had my share of days with him where he seems human. It is kind of like that old Gatorade commercial with Michael Jordon 'If I could be like Mike" but substitute Todd in there instead.
[This message has been edited by Wobbler (edited 10-14-2003).]
[This message has been edited by Wobbler (edited 10-14-2003).]

Just contact the Wigwam Lodge. Kevin should have all of the details for next years' tournament ironed-out by the 1st of December. I highly recommend fishing it.

I agree about Todds ability. His Dad is a
great fisherman so some of the talent must
come naturally although I know he works hard
at it.
------------------
Curt Quesnell
NorthCountry Outdoors Radio

I've never had the pleasure to fish with Todd(that'll change soon enough) but I can vouch for him as a person. He fished with my good friend Kurt, and we had a blast all weekend. I just wanted to congratulate the two of them on a very successfull tournament. I'm sure we'll all be back next year.
Corey Heiser
P.S. Todd, watch out for tar.

I don't think they have fixed much

More playas bite the dust. Probably at least 5 more by the sounds of the reports. Gotta be at least the many so I can be out too!

Have faith. You can see progress and ice depth from previous years on the Eagle Docks FB page. They said 16 inches a day or so ago. A few years back they had 16 inches only a week before official ice out. 60s to even 70s next weekend. It will be gone before opener. I'm planning on docks and lifts next weekend, but I am in a small protected bay that goes out pretty early.

We need optimism right now. The small bays haven't even opened up yet, which is typically two weeks before the big bays lose their ice. The forecast is in our favor though and I see that it's windy today, also a great sign.

Go to the DMV, see if there's a serial number on it. They should be able to title it

I moved my blind right into the middle of the field after I left this morning. It sticks out like a sore thumb on the landscape. A friend advised me to try this. We'll see if it works later. I hate the way it looks without blending in, but I have to try something else.

Im getting a ton of them also. So bad that I have to back out of the site and retry. Anyway to prevent them?

For a long time I've been getting pop-ups and error pages where I have to back page. I just thought it was the price of playing in the old sand lot! 🤔
