Low water questions

OK, so LOW is 3.5-4 feet low, right? Rumor has it that they're working at the dam in Kenora and that is part of the reason why it's so low. Couple that fact with the fact that it hasn't rained a sig. amount in eons and you have low water. Sooo... when will the dam at Kenora be finished and how quickly will that impact the water levels?<P>Do I have all of the above info right? Somebody set me straight if I don't.<BR>Scoot

Scoot,<P>I "heard" the Dam work story, I "heard"<BR>the story about using the dam to catch up<BR>with power after the blackout in the east.<P>True or not, the lake needs some run off<BR>in the spring from SNOW (remember snow)<BR>and a few down pours in the spring would<BR>help.<P>The lake has returned to levels last seen<BR>in the 80s. Like all lakes the level go up<BR>and down over the decades.
