Will the waves affect the way the fish are biting? Does it matter? Or is it nothing to worry about? Thanks

Ferch,
Take care of waves slapping your boat!
I have had many a spot "go south" on me from another boat pulling in to anchor in a position that waves slap the hull... gotta be sneaky & quiet. Use the rear cleat or center bow eye for the rope, which ever one is more quiet.
Higher the chop the less light penetraition to affect day bite fish.

Use the waves to your advantage. Periods of consistant wind will "stack" bait fish wherever the waves are hitting steep breaks or humps. Also the waves will breakup the direct sunlight and make some of those clear sky days better fishing. If it has been very widy for a extended period of time it will create a "mudline" on the downwind side of the lake, this can be a great place to troll cranks. Right on the edge of the muddy and clearer water.

If you mean waves from the wind. Yes.

The wind blows the surface water one way and the deeper water goes the other way. If you can learn to read the rip tides you'll put fish in your boat. All lakes have them. It is alot like fishing a river.
