I haven't been out since the first part of Aug.
Now through Sept is one of the toughest times of the year for catching muskies in my opinion. Typically the algae bloom is the cause. If you can find clear water, you should find fish. I'd be looking mostly at rock points, and reefs this time of year. (and semi-clear water)
October is when the muskie action is at it's peak.
The area you are talking about is great musky water, so you are good to go there.

Cool- thanks fellas. From what I've heard, finding clear water right now is a bit like peeing into the wind. Maybe I'll stick to ol' marble eyes for right now and give chase to the sklunges in a month or so.
Scoot

The water is always clear in Whitefish Bay! Muskie fishing has been good.
------------------
Hemlock
"Throw'm back"

Anyone been sklunge fishing on LOW? I'm heading up over the weekend and will muskie fish at least one day. I'm thinking East and North of Big Island- Dawson, Painted Rock, Splitrock, and all the little islands in the area. Anyone have any words of wisdom?
Scoot
