With all the rain lately I would fish the inlets on Gorman, Sabre or Tetonka.
These are all lakes of the Cannon River, if a freeze out dose accure it dosn't take long for the river to restock the lake. The trap at Tetonka does't help.
I havn't been to Volney yet this year. But the South-West corner has allways been a good Crappie spot.

Hey trapper

If you dont mind crowds head down to the narrows east end of Sakatah! Weather like this fish bite early evenings!Eyes are by no means keepers but the bite is fast in a big area when they move in!8-12" common with lots of folks keeping these fish means poor fishing later on!Might get lucky and get a keeper now and then but for kids should be a good time and a great way to teach catch and release on small fish! ((((( Good Luck ))))
