I'll be coming up that way 1st week of Sept, and was wondering where some good places to eat are located. I already know the fishing will be GREAT and I'm hoping that the catching will be good also. Just looking to find a good evening spot for when we don't feel like cooking. Thanks!

Border View Lodge near the Wheelers Point public boat ramp. Great food and good service. Large menu and home made pizzas.
You wont be disappointed.
Good Luck on the fishing too.
------------------
www.gonzosguideservice.com

I'm with Gonzo on the Borderview food. Great Pizza pies, Choice Prime rib on Saturday, their Wild Rice is totally awesome too. We have a cabin up there and 9 times out of 10 thats where we'll go when going out to eat. I even make the hour drive from Roseau just for that Prime rib on occasion. The Riverbend has some darn good chow too. For breakfast go to Baudette to the Ranchhouse....but beware the Pancakes are giant, don't order to many!
fiskyknut

I have already seen the pancakes! The best thing is...I love PANCAKES! We are already planning on getting a breakfast or two in while we are there. Thanks!
PS Are there any good places for a Friday night eating marathon?

[This message has been edited by BarryG (edited 08-19-2003).]

If you are up for something different, try the Border Gausthaus in Rainy River. It is the first thing you come to after you cross the international bridge in Baudette. They have very good German food. Borderview is allways good, they have probably the best ribs in the area.

Barry: If you like Tacos, then try Ken-mar-kee, on a Friday night. They have a "All You Can Eat" for $5.95. And it's very good too! You serve yourself to a number of the ingredients, and they have soft and hard shells. I just fill my plate, stir it up, then use the hard shell to scoop it up. The place is very clean and well kept up. Its a good choice for "Good Food". Take County Rd 8 west from Hwy 172 for about 2 miles and it's on your left, signs point the way.... Kaz
