ESPN 360. You have to get it through the internet. I'm trying to get it as we speak. Wish me luck;)

That's what I thought, if you get through...keep this thread updated on the game. I have St.Cloud winning this one! Then Wisconsin in the night cap over Vermont.

Not having much luck but I will have scores updated. You have to think the folks down in St Cloud are watching this game. You got the Huskies too.

I'll probably watch the Saint Cloud game late tonight on ESPN U. Might be my last time checking up here, don't want to ruin it. Sounds like a good game so far.

My wife had RIT beating Denver; I did not. I think we both agreed they did not look good in the F5 at the Ex, but I didn't think they'd have problems with RIT. The trend of #1's losing to long shots continues. 3 out of 4 last year. Play hard top seeds...

going into the 2nd OT in the SCSU game.

#3 seed New Hamsphire is beating Cornell 4-1 with 12:27 left in the 3rd. If they win they would play # 4 seed RIT.

Atleast the Sconi game is on TV. Hooefully a win for the WCHA. Sounds like there were only a few thousand people at the X for this game. Tonights should be better and tomorrows should be a good crowd. Didnt look like too many fans were out east. I alamost feel bad for Denver. When was the last time they played in front fo some of their own fans. They had no one at the X.

Hopefully St Cloud can knock of Sconi too. Good game St Cloud dominated the overtime periods. The 2 penaltys helped that but they looked like the better team! I was able to watch it on ESPN 360! They are replaying it on there now but it should be on ESPNU as well!

I want to see Huskies beat the Badgers. They will be some good games on Saturday. I also found a site that has all the games FOR FREE. So if you don't have access to ESPN 360 you will be able to get the games at http://www.justin.tv/hockeyfor2day01#r=s65TFZg~. Sioux.

BC is beating Alaska 1-0.11:06 in the first. I'm trying to find a link to this game and if I find it I'll post it up.

Yale up 1-0 end of the 1st. I hope UND can get there s#!t together next period. GO Sioux.

Make that 2-0 Yale. What is going on with the WCHA? At least we'll have UW or St. Cloud at the Frozen Four.

Man, that was a wicked swing. Hits the post on the penalty shot so instead of 2-1 it's 2-0, and then that fast-skating Yale team drops another one in the net for 3-0.

I'm thinking the Sioux have left a little too much work for one period. Well, it's hockey, and anything is possible, but Yale has opened up a can of whup-a$$ by hustling and taking advantage of every opportunity. frown

3-0 Yale. This is tough to watch. UND is just getting beat everywhere on the ice. Well at least open water fishing around the corner.

I'm not giving up yet. I remember a game not long ago the Sioux got down by 2 goals in the first minute of play. That turned out all right. Yeah, yeah, I know. But I'm still not giving up. The Broadmoor Trophy is a nice consolation prize, but I'm not ready for my team to go home yet! shockedshocked

Congratulation to Yale. UND made a nice little comeback in the third and made the game interesting. Next year.

Go Beavers. Go Huskies.

With the early ice out, how is the curlyleaf pondweed doing?

On the south end...   The big basin, otherwise known as Big Traverse Bay, is ice free.  Zippel Bay and Four Mile Bay are ice free as well.  Everything is shaping up nicely for the MN Fishing Opener on May 11th. With the walleye / sauger season currently closed, most anglers are targeting sturgeon and pike.  Some sturgeon anglers are fishing at the mouth of the Rainy River, but most sturgeon are targeted in Four Mile Bay or the Rainy River.  Hence, pike are the targeted species on the south shore and various bays currently.   Pike fishing this time of year is a unique opportunity, as LOW is border water with Canada, the pike season is open year round. The limit is 3 pike per day with one being able to be more than 40 inches. All fish 30 - 40 inches must be released. Back bays hold pike as they go through the various stages of the spawn.  Deadbait under a bobber, spinners, spoons and shallow diving crankbaits are all viable options.   Four Mile Bay, Bostic Bay and Zippel Bay are all small water and boats of various sizes work well. On the Rainy River...  Great news this week as we learned sturgeon will not be placed on the endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.     The organization had to make a decision by June 30 and listing sturgeon could have ended sturgeon fishing.  Thankfully, after looking at the many success stories across the nation, including LOW and the Rainy River, sturgeon fishing and successful sturgeon management continues.   A good week sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River.  Speaking to some sturgeon aficionados, fishing will actually get even better as water temps rise.     Four Mile Bay at the mouth of the Rainy River near the Wheeler's Point Boat Ramp is still producing good numbers of fish, as are various holes along the 42 miles of navigable Rainy River from the mouth to Birchdale.   The sturgeon season continues through May 15th and resumes again July 1st.   Oct 1 - April 23, Catch and Release April 24 - May 7, Harvest Season May 8 - May 15, Catch and Release May 16 - June 30, Sturgeon Fishing Closed July 1 - Sep 30, Harvest Season If you fish during the sturgeon harvest season and you want to keep a sturgeon, you must purchase a sturgeon tag for $5 prior to fishing.    One sturgeon per calendar year (45 - 50" inclusive, or over 75"). Most sturgeon anglers are either a glob of crawlers or a combo of crawlers and frozen emerald shiners on a sturgeon rig, which is an 18" leader with a 4/0 circle hook combined with a no roll sinker.  Local bait shops have all of the gear and bait. Up at the NW Angle...  A few spots with rotten ice, but as a rule, most of the Angle is showing off open water.  In these parts, most are looking ahead to the MN Fishing Opener.  Based on late ice fishing success, it should be a good one.

Nice fish. I moved to the Sartell area last summer and just thought it was windy like this everyday up here? 🤭

Crazy windy again today.... This is has been the norm this spring. Between the wind and the cold fronts, fishing has been more challenging for me than most years.  Panfish have been moving in and out of the shallows quite a bit. One day they are up in the slop, the next they are out relating to cabbage or the newly sprouting lilly pads.  Today eye guy and I found them in 4-5 ft of water, hanging close to any tree branches that happened to be laying in the water.  Bigger fish were liking a 1/32 head and a Bobby Garland baby shad.   Highlight of the day way this healthy 15incher
