Now that the walleye season is closed on inland waters, is anyone going out west to hit Traverse or Big Stone? I'm heading out there the weekend of the 28 and 29. I've heard the last season walleye bite can be good on Traverse.

I won't be out ther until the border waters opener, but I fished big stone earlier and the walleye fishing was good. The fish were in shallow and were real dandies. Now the fisherman are working the south end of the lake near the island and catching walleyes, perch, and northerns. just be careful because there have been a few break throughs and with the snow on the lake it is hard to tell how the ice is. GOOD FISHING!!!!

I't was hot earlier but this week it died on bigstone. Ran tip-ups with shinners for three days up and down the blasted thing and caught two slimers 4 guys. Good Luck.
