Hey New Ulm, welcome to the forum. I was thinking of trying Clear tomorrow night. I stopped in at R&R yesterday for minnows and Francis told me the crappies were kind of slow right now. He did say some guys were getting decent sunnies and picking up a few bass in the 3 pound range.

Last year it was mid-February before we started limiting out on the crappies, but maybe other guys found them before I did.

See you on the ice, Polar Bear

I was there new years eve. Had a few crappies and sunnies, with a couple small bass. The crappies were all under 8", and the sunnies all under 6". But it was still fun to catch sum fish, even thou I didn't keep any. Side note: The airator has been running now for about a week and is clearly marked, but be careful!

The Clear north of New Ulm or the Clear south of New Ulm?

I've seen guys on Clear north of New Ulm and heard rumors of Walleyes..but I have no information to verify.

Was out there Sat. eve....caught 10 crappies about 8". They were real finicky though--marking a lot of fish, but they seem to be a little tight-lipped. Lotta beer and a lotta fun!
