any recent reports from the angle? I'm planning a September trip. Any advice or tips for that time of year?

island guy,<BR>we just returned from the oak island area, fishing was fantastic. the water is still low but johnson passage was the best or the north tip of little oak. there is also a very productive reef just south of massacre island. Lots of fish, fun and relaxation. Where are you going to stay?<P>------------------<BR>****riverdancer****

Thanks! We'll be staying at the Angle Outpost Sept. 11 to 14. Also, how is the border crossing? Any hassles?

The border is easy as pie. Usual questions,where are you from, how long etc., no line and through in 5 minutes. Where are you going to fish?<P>------------------<BR>****riverdancer****

My party wasn't as fortunate at the boarder crossing. After the usual where ya from, where ya going stuff, they asked for our id's and we were told to park in the back. 45 minutes later we were told we could go.<P>The other two in the party weren't as fortunate. They got the same treatment but some stuff showed up (old DWI) on one of my buddies records along with some other minor infractions. After multiple heated discussions (and 1.5 hours), they were let in too.<P>Don't forget to use the "dial a border guard" (video phone) when heading home (going into Candada). Resort owner said the mounties run stings up there and fine you on the spot if you don't have your reg.#

I usually go to the Angle in June and catch plenty of fish just working the shorelines on Magnunusons island, penasse island, brush island and flag island. This year we are going in Sept. Never been there in the fall so don't know if the same areas hold fish. Any Sept tips? Where is Massacre island?
