WalleyeSnob; Thanks for your precise report on LOW (most reports are quite vague??). We have been up there every week since opening and have found Buffalo Bay the most consistent also. We have caught walleye up to 27" in Buffalo, but the reefs have produced more large walleye. We are not having the success this year compared to other years. Thanks again.

My wife and I will be heading to buffalo bay to fish with some relatives. Could you share which depths, colors, and more info. Thanks

Its been 2 weeks since we were on Buffalo Bay, that day the walleye were in 15-16' of water on the east side of the bar about half way up to the north end. We also picked up some on the finger in 11'. We have had our best luck on chartrues and hammered gold spinners with a crawler on a harness. If you are not aquainted with the area, go where all the boats are, keep moving around and hopefully you should find them. Good luck.

Sweept, I fished with friends on the 5th at Buff.Bay. We fished the west side of the famous sand bar towards the north end (it drops off faster there). Fishing for us was slow. I heard later in the cleaning shack that Paradis and the finger were the places to be! There's been quite a fishfly hatch lately. I don't think it,s helped the bite much. When you get up there, ask where their biting in the store. THey're most helpful. Good luck!
------------------
Old Guide Charters
Lake of the Woods
http://fishingminnesota.com/oldguidecharters/
Call Toll Free:1-800-952-(9484)

We were on Buffalo Bay on the 2nd and 3rd- we did well on the 2nd before the big storm came in, alot of action and alot of fish in the 15-19 range with a few bigger mixed in. Thursday was alot slower, except for my brothers boat, but still managed fish, just not as fast. Color, did not seem to matter as long as gold, hammered or the baitfish image, both were good. The north end was the best for us, mid way up- where the weeds were last year, was all smaller fish for us. Also could not find the weeds? Was it just us? Speed seemed to be the key, the fish wanted faster movement- even in the 3 footers on Thursday, my brother trolled and covered alot of ground and that was key. Ok John, I gave you your props for Thursday, now you can forget the day ever happened!
