Rick,<BR>My fishhouse is a 7X12 and the wheels are on the back of the house. This makes the tongue weight terrible. I cannot pull my house with a 4-wheeler at all. It bottoms out the wheeler. Could a guy slip one of these trailers under my home and remove the wheels from the back to balance out the weight some? What do you think?<BR>Thanks,<BR>Flash<BR>"Set the Hook"

Hi Flash,<BR>you would need to have us build a custom trailer for you. You would also need to take out six inches on the side of your house for the wheels to fit in because they are retractable. Otherwise it wouldn't be road legal.<P>Anything beyond 6'6" in house size width will require a recess for the wheels in the house. Unless you don't need it to be road legal of course for those who store their fish house.

So, in other words, it would be possible to do? Maybe you could e-mail me at [email protected] I was wondering if you could tell me a price range. Of course it would not be binding. Just a rough guess. <BR>Flash

We are now in the process of getting the 1st Road King Fish House planned and built.<P>Should be ready in June.<P>If you were going to build your own, what would you put in it?

Loaded question Rick!...Would definately include some cabinet storage...maybe a wall mount for handheld gps (NOT over the hole of course!)...Still looking for ideas to put on the frame here. One thought Kent had that I thought was cool, would be to put the bunks up and forward toward the tongue, like a fifth wheel mobile home...that way the bunk area doesn't interfere with the fishing space...<BR>just a few thoughts...<P>lets hear some more!<P>------------------<BR><B><I>Northeast Outfitters</I></B><BR>915 Hwy 29 N NE<BR>Alexandria, MN 56308<BR><B>(320) 763-9598</B>

An insulated bait box that also can be a seat, or used to store things instead of letting them lie around waiting to be kicked into a hole. With a removeable plastic liner to be able to dump out the water. Plastic so more durable than the normal foam.

The fish house is being built now. It's going to be a dandy.<P>6' 6" x 14' in diameter.<BR>Extra windows (5 of them)<BR>8 Holes with catch covers.<P>The interior will be finished with a heater installed. The rest will be left to custom build. You can either do it yourself or have us do it for you.<P>For those of you that want to build your own we have trailers available. Just give us a call. There is a 2 week lead time.<P>Toll Free: 1-866-333-2160

Rick, how much more $$ for the 14 fter. with the house built all ready to finish off on the inside? Maybe just framed up, windows and roof installed? I have all the goodies to finish the inside, heater, seating, etc...

There’s critters out and about.  Get yourself some cellular trail cams and you’ll see.

One more day….. but I’m thinkin’ my guess was a little early…. For this year.

It wouldn't be the first time I've heard the USS Skunked Again breaking ice! I left this morning, the rain really did a number to the ice. I'll bet the Partridge River will be open by the weekend.

My yard is pretty open, but narrow. I think I'll be fine with reception in the areas I'm thinking. I try to keep the hill somewhat natural, but my wife wants to see the lake better. The video's I've watched, they have topped the trees and mounted the dish. I would this the swaying would affect the signal. Does Starlink help you with using WiFi for calling? My T-Mobile service sux at the cabin. Did you bury your cable?

I'm on the wide part of the channel going in to Black Bay. We won't see Paul B. For years.

Welcome back. Wow it's been since 2018 it looks like. Did you ever "I'm tightening up my footprint and want to build on my Bozeman lot on the Gallatin"?  😏

You're probably right. This isn't official since I've already lost, but I'll make my supplemental guess for May 6th since it's still open. 😄   As long as I can snake my way along the shore and/or plow through some dark ice on the 8th, I'll be happy. I love aluminum boats!

For all of my "problems" with getting a clear signal it's worth it. I can spend more time at the lake because I can work during the day and play or get things done at night. Toss in that I can record and watch a football/hockey/basketball game when I'm done at the end of the day....priceless.   Like your place, our property is more natural and I was worried about having to cut down a bunch of trees. I like that people have to get up close to see our place from the lake through the trees. Luckily I didn't have to do much to get enough a signal that works for me. If I needed to be on video calls, I probably would run the dish down to the shore to get a better view of the sky.   BTW - the main problem with mounting the dish on a tree is that the tree still has a canopy that will block the signal. The best option would be to top a tree and then mount it on the clear-cut top.
