I'd use what you'd normally use fishing in rocks. If you're up there in the summer, you'll more-than-likely be fishing reefs for 'eyes, so I'd use something like Iron Silk or Spider Wire Stealth - anything that resists abrasion. I'd stay away from 4lb mono . . .

Well, not sure of what's "best" but I can tell you what I like. Jig'n/rig'n/slipbobber'n 6 and 8# XL. Bouncer work 10# XT. Trolling cranks and snapweight/spinner combos with or w/o boards 10# XT, I also use 14# fireline in deeper water for these presentations. Pike rods are setup with 14# XT or 30# Power pro depending on what technique. I do have some extra spools filled with thin braids for deep water jigging and such but rarely use these.

I was wondering what type of line that you guys recomend for up there, for both pike and Walleyes. i went up there last year and used monofiliment but am thinking about switching to braided like spider-wire or fireline. so if you could tell me what work best that would be greatly appreciated.<P>------------------<BR>FISH
