So what your saying is that i DID screw up by taking CJ with the first pick in the draft after all....

I wouldn't really call picking CJ a screw up, I only had the 1st pick in one of my leagues this season and took AP, I figure when its that close I'll always take the guy I'm gonna watch and root for every week.

CJ is still dealing with 8 and 9 man fronts every play, since we got Favre the defenses we face have backed off that quite a bit.

It will be interesting to see how well CJ does now that they've added Randy, we all know his job is to take the ball deep and take the top off the defense. Like CJ said his dream came true the day he heard they got Randy. There goes 2-3 guys out of his way every play.

A solid coach like Fisher will make some good game planning.

i think he needs to learn how to run and be patient

get some blockers and follow rather than just bull into the line all the time hoping to bust one now and then

he has a lot of strenght but i do wonder rather than going out of bounds sometimes how long will he be around

i just think he needs to run alittle smarter

Has AP fumbled more than once this season? I thought that is what they said last night.

If that is the truth, then just maybe he has it all figured out.

I doubt there is a team out there that would not jump at the chance to sign AP. Can't be that bad.

MY guess is that if the Queens lose this Sunday we will see a fire Ziggy thread.

I don't believe AP has fumbled all year.

Ya, the sports commentators jinxed the guy. They were talking about how he had 20 fumbles in the previous 2 seasons and this year he has had 280 touches with zero fumbles. Right away I thought, way to hex him. Every time those guys talk about how good someone is doing on something they put the whammy on the person. Sure enough not 10 minutes later, bam, AP fumbles, his first this season. He ran good, 118 yards rushing.

Nope not me, I still think he's the best RB in football and I'm glad no one would be dumb enough to trade him.

Only people that don't like him are the worst players on our team, like when Junkson tries to end his season and BB kicked the ball right out of his hands, glad them are two guys that will be gone next year, BB makes as much money as the best WR's in the game.

i agree that peterson is the best running back in the league. only fumbled one time this season. this guy will not be traded anytime soon. that would be a historic blunder. good luck.

I’ll be on Birch Lake - Ely - in late July. Anyone familiar with good spots?

We bring a weather and an FM radio. Cell phone coverage is sporadic, but you can find a signal almost anywhere (but usually it originates from Canada). Bad weather can come in a hurry, so it is nice to be able to know what is coming in advance.

Do you know anyone who reloads? Ammo has been bought up with the civil unrest currently going on.

I would agree with James about tough bite. The last few days have been tough. You wont see those mayflies in Big Bay, because they all hatched last week. We have had high heat no wind to go with mayflies, then fish flies so I think that explains the problem. It will get better soon as minnows become primary food source for eyes. Wont see you out there for a while as I have to leave for a week. Good Luck !!

I may not get a chance to fish Leech before this fall, but I still really liked reading your report Joe.  Thank you for posting.

One more question about communication and weather alerts on eastern Rainy Lake.   We could occasionally get  an AT&T signal, especially after we had signed up for the Canadian signal.  We were about 16 miles east of the visitor center, and at the Kemp Channel entrance.  The signal strength kinda depended on weather conditions and time of day.   I am looking at the possibility of getting a weather alert radio.  It states:  Public Alert Certified Weather Radio, Receives all 7 NOAA Weather Channel and Reports.  It is also an AM/FM radio.  Does this actually work in the mid-lake area, or would you recommend something different?
