Since the perms are to all be off as of Monday, it may be wise to watch for any stray shacks that appear abandoned after that date. Stolen ice shacks may be altered in appearance as was the last one found so if something looks odd, it may be worth a closer look.

My reasoning is if the stolen shacks are still out there they may abandon them rather then risk taking them home and getting caught. Especially if they know sportsman are looking for them.

HSO eyes on the ice may spot a few lost shacks yet?

It is also feasible the DNR may confiscate a shack or two that was abandoned but was also ripped off prior, so I would also check with them if I had lost a shack, ya never know it may pop up that way too.

The last minute rush to remove shacks may also offer an opportunity for thieves to grab a shack and waltz away with it, so extra caution about now may be wise also.
