Hi Kaz, I checked FM this morning and there was nothing new, I just logged on again to ask where everyone was but you beat me to it. Four of us fished near Rocky Point yesterday. We caught a lot of fish but they ran a little small, as usual. Must have kept a dozen or so….delicious.

I'm here too Kaz. Sure not much conversation going on. I hate to admit it, but I stumbled across another forum group, one that has a name something like central walleye....anyways, what a poor excuse for a forum. It's like a Jerry Springer show. I'm proud to be part of Fishing Minnesota!
------------------
Hemlock
"Throw'm back"

Just checked in... I've been out fishin! I'm heading out in a few minutes for the evening shift. Fishinig up in the bay during the evenings 5-7 has been very, very good. Flash a big ole gold spoon around down there and hang on! Was out to 16 yesterday afternoon, and there wasn't a single sole out there... you don't see that everyday. The lake is real flat, with a bit of snow, You can just plain fly aross the pond... I hit 65 yesterday pulling my otter... going from spot A to B doesn't take very long now. The ice on 16 is getting very rotten, about a foot down and the hole fills with water. Still thick ice, but getting rotten. In the bay the ice seems better, but the season is about to close up there.. frown.gif
Gotta go, my partner is heading down the driveway...

Hi all,
Not much going now. It may have been an
error but after the hassle at the access
points last weekend I put my winter stuff
away.
I did hook onto the boat and pull it into
the driveway just a few minutes ago so I
have had some fun today anyway.
Hemlock, there always is quite a bit of
action over at WC. I like to go to the
used boats and check out the real iron!
uhhhhh tin uhhhhhhfiberglass....
By the way Hemlock, do you fish the US
side in the summer or do you primarily stay
north of the border.
------------------
Curt Quesnell
NorthCountry Outdoors Radio
[This message has been edited by curt quesnell (edited 03-30-2003).]

I've been real busy pulling fish houses off the pond and doing some fishing the past couple weeks and I have'nt spent much time on-line. Things are kinda back to normal now.
Fisky

Three of us fished out of Long Point yesterday. Real mixed bag, lots of little ones, some nice walleyes, big perch, big eelpout, whitefish, and some decent saugers. Even had a huge pike grab on to a little walleye I had hooked. I couldn't even move him for a couple of minutes, and then he just let go, and the little dead walleye came up through the hole without even so much as a toothmark on it (we figured the whole fish must have been inside the pike's mouth). I told my friends, "Well, there's another fish story." Only, this time I had witnesses. smile.gif It isn't only the big ones that get away - it's the big ones that get away that you remember.
The ice is getting really chunky, even though it is still four feet thick. Won't take long for it to go, once the weather warms up.

Curt,
The only Minnesota fishing I do is through the ice. Everything after that is Ontario. Either Sioux Narrows, or a buddy of mine has a place on the north side of Oak, and my brother lives in Kenora. Between these three places, I cover the northern half of the lake pretty well. Someone said it's a lifetime lake, might of even been you..anyways, sure is true. Do you ever fish Ontario LOW in the summer?
------------------
Hemlock
"Throw'm back"

Hey Fisky,
Who were you pulling shacks off for this weekend? I noticed several suddenly vanished between Saturday at dark and Sunday morning.
