I am a serious hard working walleye guy that has fished tournaments for 25 yrs. The chamber tournament in june has caught my eye. I am from the fargo area. As you can see I do my homework and start early. Can any of you walleye pros on Pokegama get me started in the right direction. Local bait shops, forage, ect. I will start by DNR info and maps. Plan to open there this year to start snooping. Also I am still working on a partner as of now I do not have one. I have a 2090 warrior with 125 tiller. Love live bait fishing but very versitile and will do what it takes. Any help appreciated. Sullyman

Mark, I would try Ben Kellin at Ben's Bait. He's very knowledgeable on Pokeg. It's a very clear lake and, usually by that time of year, depending on water temps, is a weedline bite. There are smelt in the lake, but shiners are a prevelant food source. Hope this helped to get you in the right direction.
