what are you catching out there? I had a buddy from work catch a 15 inch papermouth out there a couple of years ago. I've heard there is nothing but bass and a few decent northerns out there, is that true?

Decided to go to Bush on Sun. from 2-8pm caught mess of crappies between 4-10" in 15-20'fow. Pounded small sunnies up to 4pm. We had a couple of tip-ups out no-go on them. Just a real nice day and big full moon....WM

WallMaster - sounds like Bush might be a good spot to bring my 5 year old for some sunny action. I tried Crystal last saturday for our first outing together. Managed 5 small sunnies in about 1 1/2 hrs, and he had a blast. Bush is even closer to me and if their biting, that would be great.

What part of the lake would you recommend for sunnies? Most importantly will be not to let the little one get bored. Don't really care about the size of fish, just the bite.

Hey Fazerfish, straight out from the cement boat landing 40 yards or so off to the right a little for sunnies 8 to 12 feet and then go to the left of the dock down near the point sticking out on the left side. Stay between both sides of the lake, like in the middle before the point in about 12-17 fow for crappies and some sunnies....Have fun...WM

can you take a snowmobile on bush with the boat motor ban?

Good question.

I know in Mpls, St. Paul, & some suburbs you cannot drive on lakes with a motor ban, but some other localities allow it. I'd check with the city before going out with the snow machine.

I believe bloomington has a city ordinance, no snowmobiling in city limits

You can take a car or an atv as far as I know but not sure about the snow machine. You can probably call the park ranger and find out at Hyland Park reserve down the road from their.

It is definitely getting down to the wire. I want to try and get out one more time if possible! I love ice fishing, but the fall bite has been hot.

Be careful on public land traps tend to disappear. Don’t set the traps in the open and make another path to check your traps. With duck season going on use traps that will not hold dogs. I like setting banks with mink attractor or 220’s set in rat runs.

I am looking to start a line this year since I travel 50 miles o e way for work. Looking for any advice and tips. I have some state land I would like to set on. Mostly mink and rats I believe are my targets. Thanks in advance

Good pics have been hard to come by.  But...   Yes, these are water pics mainly but we’ve hunted fields too. The field hunting has been tough for us with the size of crew we have and the age mix.  Good times; good people.   Besides, a guy that likes divers needs a little water tossed in.  I saw my bucket list can but wouldn’t water swat him to claim him.  Didn’t get a chance at him on the wing.
