Did you ever get out there? I'd love to find some numbers of fish even if they're small.

Hey Tom W, I ended up having to work, so I never made it out, but I'm thinking of trying it on sunday, and will give you a report on how it goes.

if your going to bring a little one go to eagle lake in maple grove, and set up in the south bay. Can get some non stop action some times since the south bays just loaded with crappies, been fishing eagle about 4 times a week. You can also catch some northern if you sat up some tip ups on the weed lines.

Wow, maybe I will try Eagle Lake. I want to get the kid a few fish.

Rippin Lip, Hiawatha seems to have recovered from the thaw. The DNR map shows some nice holes. Let me know how it goes.

old timer

Lake Hiawatha has winter killed. There was some open water where the water is pumped from the stormwater retention ponds on the golf course, and there were lots of dead fish, (carp, bullheads, suckers, northerns and walleye). It should really stink come ice out.

Hey Guys, I'm wondering what the water temp on the St.Croix is. I Haven't herd anything, all I know is that Catfish become inactive after it drops below 60F. I want to know if they have already become inactive, you would think we would at least have until October.    One more inquire,  anyone one know about a nice carp lake north of the metro. Most people don't like fishing for common carp, but they are a great fall fish to catch when they Get 30+ plus pounds.

All right man I'll make sure to tell you how I do, I have also been looking at the sunrise river. The sunrise Looks like one of those rivers that all the local kids fished in the 80's, But then it got polluted and over fished. I'll Try the sunrise one of these days, I don't know what i'll catch,  Maybe it's like in the Simpsons with those Three eyed fish.    As for the rum river, I can't wait to fish that. I'll wait for a nice cold front when all those small mouth start to eat everything in site, They need the fat for winter. I'll make sure to tell you how it goes.
