Drop Down trailer axels?

Question

river rat316

Where do you get the drop down trailer axel assemblies at? Me and a buddy are looking at building one and its about the only thing we can't seem to find, I checked Fish house supply and just about every where else, but can't seem to find anywhere just selling an axel assemblie!

Try going through a actual builder of drop trailers, or Pioneer Wheel & Tire, they are a major trailer parts supplier of all types.

If you are welding your own frame you just make your own using tubing, hubs, wheels and such from a place like nortern tool, or fleeet farmer.

Ya you just make your own from northern tool, Its not something I would recommend doing unless you know what your really doing. A trailer built square is pretty easy to accomplish but there is a pitch to the actual axels and assembly that make the trailer ride real smooth. I'm sure we all have pulled those trailers that ride down the road that swing back and forth! It's worth the money in the long run in my opinion

That's OK to purchase the assembly's, but you have to be able to attach them correctly to the frame also. That to me is the most time consuming part of it. Getting the toe and camber settings correct so you get a trailer that rides nice and won't wear tires out.

I looked for axles forever. Most of the house builders only want to sell a completed frame. The only place that I found that sells plans and completed axle assembly's was Gordons Landscaping. No idea on what kind of quality they might be.

Yeah I'm planning and scouting starting next week.  Any help is appreciated.   Also a reminder....   You will need a new fishing license as of 3/1/19.  The warden often comes by to say "hi"  and chat for a bit at our gathering.   I would hate to have someone forget.   Especially me. 😉

I got stuck on West Rush Wednesday.  Thanks to Nick?  P  from Rush City for helping me get out.  I couldn't budge.  Mike from Mike's towing was going to come out and rescue me but Nick saved me a bundle!  Thanks, Mike for being willing to come out on the ice.    Just wondering how travel is on Rush and Pokegama this weekend.  I will be hesitant go get out until the snow gets packed down on a bit.!!!

Might want to have him call a realtor but I think there is something open in that strip mall behind McDonald's. A friend retired and closed his jewelry store and that spot might work good. I think it's called Pokegama  Plaza. Next to Edward Jones and Sears.

Hey PRO V, you wouldn't happen to know of any office spaces for rent in rapids would you? My co worker is maybe thinking of moving our office up there if he can find a reasonable price and enough room for his cabinets.

I am going to put a get together on Blue Lake in March!! I am thinking the second weekend at the time. My question is would Saturday or Sunday be best for most of you? This will be out of the north access as I have work on finding a good spot with active fish yet. Please let me know and if you are interested in helping find a spot with active fish. Thanks
