lake for 5yr old near Burnsville

Recommended Posts

Getanet

So if the weather is nice this weekend I'm taking my girlfriend and her 5yr old nephew ice fishing this weekend. It would be the first time ice fishing for both of them.

Can anyone point me to a lake near Burnsville where we'd catch enough small sunnies to keep a 5yr old interested for a few hours?

I don't get out fishing that way very often. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lake Marion is also a good choice. You can sight fish in 5 feet of water right near the public access. You should see lots of bluegills, a few perch, and maybe a pike or crappie or two.

Crystal is a good bet. I have brought my 5 and 7 year old boys out there a few times and they always have a good time.

Just a little south on 13 is cedar lake. I hear the little ones are hard to keep off your hook. Should keep the 5YO very busy & happy. Good luck!!!
