Went up Yesterday. Started fishing around 7:30. Fished the deeper water by Fischer's 22-24 ft. Marked a ton of fish.

We caught 5 , kept one 15 1/2. The others were 23, 21, 18 1/4,

20. They were fairly active until the cloud cover left around 10:45. The wind died down some also. Wish we could have been on the water about an hour earlier. Leeches , 7-9 ft snells, red hooks no bead, (3 fish) orange hook, chart bead (2 fish)

Heading back this week. I would guess if things warm up at all, they will be gone from that area. Time to hit the mud.

Great weekend of fishing. The night bite is still on outside of Fishers on the rocks (12-13 feet). Did ok on the East Flat also.

i fished sloppy joes by myself on saturday the report is under another topic...15-1/2" & 18"...chased off by storm.

Fished around the Sloppy Joe area Sat. Caught 8 total 1@27, 1@17 1/8 rest 22-24. 10' leader, orange hook, soft moon glow bead, leech. Marked 'em & then caught 'em on rocks 25'-27' ran out of leeches just in time to miss the rains.

We hit up the South end Saturday and didn't get anything.

Went out to the South Tip (mud) on Sat night and got 15 eyes. Only 2 keepers. About 31 FOW.

Fished the south side , out of Isle, this Sunday and Monday mornings. High skies and no wind on Sunday, so we were out by 5:30 am. Caught ten by 9:30--released some from 18 to 22 and kept three from 15 to 17 1/2. Bugs and sunburn chased us off--little green knats in our ears, nose and eyes were too much for us. Mayflies have started as well. Monday a.m. we had a little breeze to counter the high skies. Got out early again and got seven from 14 to 26 inches. Breeze kept the bugs at bay for us. We were fishing leeches on seven to nine foot snells with red hooks and glow or green rattle beads. Were fishing rock to soft transition off of two reefs in about 20 to 23 feet on one reef, and 25 to 27 feet on the other. Fish were on the soft bottom, but very close to the rock transition line. Found fish with our electronics first, marked them with an icon, and then fished them slowly. Good luck, and stay safe!

That is the pattern on the East side also. Where can you get those green rattle beads???

They are from Northland Tackle. I haven't seen them lately in Cabela's or at Gander, so I ordered a bunch two years ago directly from Northland.

I don't believe they make them anymore, but I still have a bunch left from when they did. I did a quick search and believe I found another company selling them now. If you google Xtackle you should find what you're looking for. I haven't used theirs, but they look the same.

Thanks for the tip where to get them, centralmneyeguy! I would be lost without them. rodmaker, they are a slightly larger than normal plastic bead, filled with tiny rattlers, I guess you would call them. I slide one on my snell above the hook for color, rattle, and they are bouyant as well. It sounds like you need to go to Xtackle to get them now. I almost always have on of these on my snell for live bait rigging.

Went out of Wealthwood on Sunday morning, fishing the vegetation break in about 14' of water. Only one under the slot, but caught 10 over, biggest being a 26 1/4". Very good morning of fishing. No wind and sunny. Couldn't believe that the fish were still in that shallow hanging around. Also saw a couple of big ski's sunning themselves near the surface.

fished wed night from 5 to 11 and thur from 9 to noon. bobbered the whole time. 24 total, 15 over 24" 5 over 26" cleaned 3. deeper gravel/sand transition.

Went up to the pond on Saturday...was using chartruese bead red hook, leech setup and was clearly outfished by a plain hook and a leech. The eyes did not seem to like the extra jewelry.

Spent the day drifting the rocks out from Fishers. Did well, got one each drift. Put one in the box, all of the others were over the slot.

Fished this morning and did not have a great bite. Managed two, one 20 and the other 24. Lost one at the boat that was about 24 too. Marked lots of fish and threw everything we had at them. Will be back in the evening to give it a try soon.

Agate is on a good night bite with lighted bobbers on the reef. Otherwise, hit some of the flats. Give spinners a try also. Gold , or pink blades are working.

We are staying at Fishers. The night bite has been good off of the rocks in front. 12 to 13 feet bobbering with leeches. Getting some biger fish off of the mile ans half pulling reef runers. Neighbor's wife got a 40 inch northern last night.

Stayed at Fishers this weekend, great resort and have stayed there a few times and it is always fun. Didn't have a lot of time to fish a couple hours each night. Fished out on the rocks in front of Fishers and in Agate bay. Not much luck a few small walleys & perch, got 1 keeper walleye. Did not see a whole lot of people catching much and the ones I did see were small. Was using 7" snells with glow beeds, rattle beeds and other colors. Also tried bobber fishing with a leech but not many takers. Pulling Plug was how we landed our few fish. Could have probably been more successful if we had more time to fish. Great time anyways it was beautiful out there this past weekend.
